Easter Inspiration

Last Easter my daughter and I were dying eggs.
I had a white leghorn hen that had just layed it's first egg.
Instead of coloring this white egg I decided to dip it into coffee to make a natural egg display with a birds nest I had found.
This egg began to form this image and without any help from me whatsoever.
Catie said to me,  "Mama that egg is doing something strange!"
Before our very eyes we saw Jesus on the cross.
The face was stronger in detail and then afterwards the face faded...
We were stopped in our tracks and so stunned at this..Easter miracle.
Thank you Lord for such miracles.

Catie Is Crocheting and The March UFO Sewing Hop

I love the feel of yarn and fabrics! It is like a candy store to me.

Catie is crocheting

I had forgotten how relaxing it is to crochet, until watching her lately.  The girl likes to make things  has done so her entire life.
When she was about 4 years old she double crocheted with rug yarn a strip as long as our staircase.  Do you know why she did this?  She did this so she could have Rapunzel hair.
She would pin this long strip of crocheted hair to her little head and drop it down the staircase.
We all soon learned to watch out for "Rapunzel's hair".  The funny thing is this child had hair so long at birth and has continued to have the most hair.  She cuts it shorter now though.  Doctors were amazed at her hair and loads of them and nurses came in amazement to see her long hair at birth.
     My Rapunzel.
